H.E. Hamid Karzai former President of Afghanistan during a short stay in New Delhi visited Afghan Embassy to see the completed renovation work that has been done in the main building of the country’s mission, on December 16, 2014.

The former President was accompanied by Ambassador Abdali and the Project Monitoring Engineer to see the newly renovated building. Ambassador Abdali briefed the former President on the condition of the building prior to the renovation. The Monitoring Engineer provided the technical details of the work that had been carried out.

H.E. Hamid Karzai expressed satisfaction over the renovation work carried out hoping that a special heed be paid to the maintenance of the building.

The former President praised Ambassador Abdali’s initiative to undertake the overdue renovation work during his tenure given the extensive scope of activities the nature of bilateral relations provides for this embassy.  He also praised the tireless efforts of Engineer Ziaullah Hashemi in completing this project.

Concluding his visit President Karzai encouraged the embassy staff to use the facilities to the best of their ability to carry out their duties in strengthening the two countries’ bilateral relations.
