The South Asian Festival of Sufism and Buddhism organized by Sahitya Academy in collaboration with Foundation of SAARC Writers and Literature (FOSWAL) at Sahitya Academy, New Delhi  from 22 up to 24 February, 2019.

On this occasion, Mr. Ajmal Alimzai the cultural attaché of the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, New Delhi also attended, he expressed that the inauguration of such a festival has a significant role in the harmonization and unity of all religions.

He added, “All the religions take a responsibility to stand all together against all sort of terrorism, violence and extremism and all must make effort to undermine this vicious phenomenon. Lets’ do not allow terrorism to escalate its brutal deeds under the name of religions. Sufism is a spiritual school which frequently struggle with good deeds and austere to publicize and encourage humanity, brotherhood and friendship among all human beings men and women. Sufism school never believes in any sort of terrorism and extremism.

In the view of above, in this gathering some of SAARC writers and scholar participated and the shared their views about the topic.
