Dr. Shaida Mohammad Abdali, the Ambassador of I. R. of Afghanistan to India addressed students from across the world at the Harvard Model United Nations India (HUMN India) in Hyderabad on August 12, 2018.

Aiming to prepare the future leaders with enhanced skills for a better tomorrow, Harvard Model United nations India was co-hosted by the Harvard International Relations Council and World View Education brought together more than 1500 students across India and the world including Afghanistan.

During his remarks focusing on the role of young people in defining the political landscape of the future, the Afghan Ambassador  said “It is important for the next generation to be instilled with values of global citizenship and it is a privilege to share my thoughts with this critical mass today”, 

Ambassador Abdali further added: “I am thrilled by this fantastic group of young leaders from the around world including Afghanistan to engage on global issues under  HMUN India and World View Education. Indeed, it is these young leaders who will be in-charge of our world, for the better or worse — they need to be motivated for the better!”

Calling upon the participants in the forum, Dr. Abdali stated: “We always talk about a better tomorrow. The better tomorrow is in your hands. You've inherited issues and it's on you to solve them."

The International Day of youth, designed by the United Nations is aimed at spreading awareness and to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. It is marked on 12th August all around the world.

The HMUN India has given opportunity to more than 10,000 students in the past seven years to build their capacities.
