Dr. Shaida Mohammad Abdali, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to India paid a visit to Himachal Pradesh University-Shimla on March 9, 2018. He met with Prof RS Chauhan, Vice Chancellor and Afghan students studying in this university.

During his meeting with Prof. RS Chauhan, Afghan Ambassador appreciated Himachal University’s efforts to build capacities of young Afghan students and creating hope that they will contribute for the development of their country in future.

Dr. Abdali proposed for establishing cooperation in education between Himachal Pradesh University and universities of Afghanistan

Dr. Abdali met with the Afghan students studying in the University and encouraged them to utilize this opportunity given to them and added that Afghanistan needs young generation’s expertise in every field.

After addressing the challenges of the students, the Afghan Ambassador presented certificates of appreciation who had scored the highest marks.

It is worth mentioning that 50 Afghans, who are Afghan government employees, are pursuing higher education in Himachal Pradesh University-Shimla through ICCR scholarships.
