Dr. Shaida Mohammad Abdali, the ambassador of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with Kenneth Juster, the Ambassador of United States of America on February 22, 2018 at the latter’s office in New Delhi.

The meeting aimed at discussing US-Afghanistan bilateral ties and to exchange views on how to further boost relations of both the countries.

Lauding the role of US in the reconstruction of Afghanistan post 2001, the Afghan Ambassador briefed the US Ambassador on the latest developments in Afghanistan.

Dr. Abdali also appreciated the new US policy for Afghanistan and South Asia and added that it is comprehensive and clear in dealing with terrorism in partnership with India.

To reinforce the early implementation of the new US policy for Afghanistan and South Asia, the Afghan Ambassador proposed for activation of US-India-Afghanistan trilateral dialogue.  

While reaffirming the US commitment to Afghanistan, the US Ambassador also emphasized on the importance of activating a trilateral meeting between the three nations in order to amplify the early implementation of the new US policy for Afghanistan and South Asia.
