Dr. Shaida Mohammad Abdali, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to India met with 10 Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) aspirants of the Oasis - Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Academy on February 8, 2018 in New Delhi.

The meeting aimed at briefing the UPSC aspirants about India-Afghanistan’s bilateral relations including enhancing capacities and cultural exchange programs.

At the outset, the Afghan Ambassador welcomed young aspirants and apprised them about the main aim of foreign missions of each country and ways to achieve their goal. He added: “The basic objective behind the embassies and foreign missions of each country is to further strengthen the relations with the host country.”

Ambassador Abdali also noted upon the latest developments in Afghanistan in relation to trade, business, mining and education. 

Referring to bilateral ties between India and Afghanistan, the Afghan Ambassador said: “We are sharing national, common and vital relations based on deep rooted and old-aged historical and cultural relations.”

During the meeting, Dr. Abdali addressed questions of the young UPSC aspirants in regards to education, youth, politics and economy in Afghanistan.
